About Mary

Mary

Mary E. Marshall is a teacher and speaker with a passion for personal restoration and global revival.   She believes that God longs for intimate relationship with His people and that the believer’s greatest privilege is to represent the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. Her ministry, therefore, focuses on meeting God both in our personal lives and in the world around us by gaining a Scriptural understanding of His character and our identities in relation to Him.  It is her desire to empower both herself and others to appropriate and walk in the abundant life referenced in John 15.

In her work, Mary draws on twenty years of teaching experience. She has taught ESL overseas, and then spent fifteen years teaching middle and high school English in Northern Virginia. After taking a few years to pursue a Master’s in Art History (concentration in Medieval Art) and work on developing education programs for an historic home, she is teaching Reading and English Composition at a community college.  Mary’s love for literature, art, and Church history makes its way into retreat sessions, presentations, and curriculum that she creates and delivers at the request of churches or other interested parties.

Mary has studied, lived, taught and worked as a missionary in such varied places as England, Hungary, Canada, and Sierra Leone, and she currently lives in Athens, New York.
